One of the things I love about Narcotic Puppeteers is their knack for blessing their tunes with outrageous, off-kilter titles. As you can tell, “Meth Binge” is no exception. You need to head over to their myspace music page and listen to it RIGHT NOW.
“Meth Binge” is like a thinking man’s groove; I don’t know if an actual meth binge could make one, at once, contemplative and funky. I love the old school kick-snare combo and robotic “Smoking meth is b-aaaa-aad for you.” Good shit. This is grimy Chicago-style IDM.
